paragraaf hier Successfully leading educational innovations at EIT InnoEnergy and in previous professional roles, always keeping an eye on Diversity and Inclusion. Frequently awarded EdTech pioneer (mLearning, MOOCs, AI for Ed), including embedding some of these solutions in low resource settings. My latest innovation involved leading the AI-learning part that alleviates skills and competency gaps by combining machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), learning analytics and learning design. This project combines the expertise of professors and company experts from different University partners and companies working on renewable energy.
I passionately co-create informal, collaborative, social learning interactions for adult learners. Using AI for Education started in 2014, using learning analytics for MOOC improvements, blended and online courses within formal or informal learning settings. I have the pleasure of working with inspiring professionals from multiple countries across 5 continents.
Holding a Ph.D. as well as 2 vocational degrees, I love to merge both academic and corporate online learning. I actively look for new ways of learning that support the speed of innovation. My focus is on the quality required for accredited courses and the creativity that will nurture change in an innovative environment. Naturally, this includes an active strategy for diversity and inclusion, using a variety of meaningful instructional design options. These solutions come from experience in researching online learning settings for Athabasca University in Canada, as well as the Open University in the UK. My research has been awarded: Gold medal for academic excellence (Athabasca Canada), Gold Medal Award for mobile learning offered by the Brandon Hall, and several award-winning papers published in books, journals and conferences. As the eLearning coordinator at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium I started and coordinated multiple mobile and online projects in developed and developing regions (Peru, India, Ecuador, Belgium, South Africa, Morocco, …)°. The projects involved change management, as well as innovative approaches to reach durable, scalable educational goals.
